Nope, if anything Egypt is suffering more because of Iran / Houthis. Neither Egypt nor Saudi want a war with Israel as Israel are one of the few local countries that will support them against Iran.

Oh and bit I missed was the lost revenue to Egypt due to shipping not going via the canal. The peace treaty has been in place since late 70’s and everyone knows that a war with Israel is not as clear cut, that other nations in the area will stab each other in the back.

Israel is not, no matter what crazy stuff you come out with. There are very clear guidelines in place. There is a need to avoid another Nakba as happened in circa ‘48. The Egyptians want to avoid a war with Israel, a war will 100% close the Suez Canal, that is a huge income for Egypt. Now, would Egypt set up a safe haven, maybe as that would avoid a war.

Because Israel and Egypt, along with most other countries in that immediate region are effectively allies against Iran's sphere of influence. No matter how much public fingerpointing they do for news cameras, they share common enemies which includes Iran-backed Palestinian terrorists. In fact, Israel is directly complicit in permitting Egypt to increase their militarization of the Sinai peninsula in what would've been a violation of their peace agreement signed in 1979.
