What do you think about stimulants being forced on soldiers during war?

It's something that I think should be part of the agreed-upon contract when enlisting voluntarily for service (I'm thoroughly against conscription; soldiers should be mercenaries as I see it, not slaves).

Soldiers lose almost all of their rights when signing up I think. For example, a soldier can get shot for deserting. That is a sign of having very little freedom.

I'm not deeply educated on military strategy and economics yet a lot of my ethics boil down to valuing the non-aggression principle in libertarian philosophy, free choice, and consent. So I had a consequentialist side to me that favors whatever is likely to produce the best consequences but it deeply errs against any violations to NAP, free choice, and consent.

That's a very tricky part of warfare. I do think, for practical reasons, soldiers must waive many of them natural freedoms when enlisting. At least that part should be voluntary and consensual as I see it.
