Most dating is being done on dating apps and those are superficial and a scam so people are using a system designed for failure but also my generation is also less social in general and rely way more on social media and the internet to spend there time and seek their validation instead of socializing in the real world.

Creating a social ecosystem that is doomed when it comes to dating or finding a future spouse.

It's literally at the point we all need to touch grass more. Social anxiety is a thing of course but you can't always hide from reality. We all need to leave our comfort zones. You have to set sail if you want to reach the new world, can't hangout at home all of the time.

I can't tell you for sure. Not sure if maybe having things like sex toys would impact it or not. But I do know that some people around my age, if they live on their own have to do more than just work to get money (since the job may not pay them enough). So then afterwards they might just want to go home, rest up, do hobbies, etc. instead. My friends have had sex before, but I can't say anything further. Anything else and maybe my generation is more cautious on spread of STDs & STIs and birth control. So, keeping sex on the low might be a good thing in this case.

You had less to do back then, so drinking, sex, or any activities in the world was more common. Technology has changed that, so you have more to do today like gaming. Also, porn is more accessible, so these changes impact how you socialize.

For example, I create video games (actual studio) while working on film projects at twenty years old. My father, at my age in 1985, was driving around the country for a racing company while racing himself, which meant working on cars. I think that is a clear example of how the world has changed.

These statistics are not reasonable. If they want more accurate results, they should be comparing Gen Z to millennials with data from millennials when they were the same age. Gen Z may be having less sex, but they’ve also compared older millennials to younger gen z. Millennials have had a longer chance to get into stable relationships, get married, etc.

Well for one they're way less likely to be married. Marriage equals consistent and more frequent sex. Also people are way more likely to stay home and watch TV/play video games rather than go out and do stuff with other people. I know a few years back, 30 was the average age at which people were getting married.

It's weird to compare generations when millennials are more likely to be in settled relationships just because time is linear. When I was 18-24 if you told me 40% of men my age hadn't had sex in a year, I wouldn't have doubted you much.

very unsurprising. Getting girls is not easy. Paying for sex is. getting a large amount of money to do so isn't. Its all tricky. Also girls are in much higher demand than boys, Even if there are slightly more girls than boys in the population.
