Teamsters Union Makes First Major GOP Donation Since 2004 Following Trump Meeting

Weeks after a meeting between former President Donald Trump and Teamsters Union leaders, including President Sean O'Brien and Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman, along with the union's executive board at their Washington, DC headquarters, America's most powerful labor union has made the first major donation to Republicans in two decades. This move has sparked huge concern that unions are losing faith in President Biden, lauded as the most pro-union president ever.

The Teamsters' political committee donated $45,000, the maximum amount permitted, to the Republican National Committee. This was the first 'big' donation the union has made to the RNC since 2004.

This comes after Trump attended a meeting with the heads of Teamsters last month. After the meeting, Trump told reporters: "We had a very strong meeting with the Teamsters." He added there was a very strong possibility that he would get their endorsement.

"Usually, a Republican wouldn't get that endorsement," Trump continued, adding he was in a greater position than other Republicans and that the union "never had a better four years than they had during the Trump administration."

Government and the Propaganda Media rely on the ignorance of common citizens. It is why they dumbed down K-12 education and corrupted the university with political propaganda. That has reached instructors and administration in education who play along because of how they rigged the system to their advantage. The same is true with all public service unions. They are not subject to accountability. They just keep their salaries, insurance and retirement benefits.

It is different for the teamsters and other dirty hands unions like Ironworkers, Operating Engineers, Plumbers, Roughnecks, etc. Leftist Democrat regulations are decimating their ability to work, beginning with hydrocarbon fuels and open borders. They are realizing that they no longer benefit from traditional Democrats like Truman and are being injured by the new breed of Socialists/Communists. Look for other Blue Collar unions and other professional associations such as those in the medical professions to switch their alliances. Hopefully, it will happen before the election. Non-government wage/salary earners (not the commie expression WORKERS) are no longer benefiting from woke leftist Democrats.

Hey, Biden was clear that he was going to shut down pipelines, reverse Trump's tariffs and incentives to move production back to the US, and ease insane regulations on American industry, etc. They voted for Biden anyway, at which point Biden did exactly what he said he would do and the unions saw hundreds of thousands of union jobs disappear forever.

What was there to wake up from? If someone says, "vote for me and I'll slit your throat", and you vote for them, can you really be surprised when they slit your throat?

@DryGermanGuy I'm aware - but this was only because it was absolutely necessary to gain support from European allies to get them to vote along with the US about the Ukraine war and specifically the sanctions against Russia. This oil is going largely to Europe, since their Russian supply of oil and gas was cut off.

But you moved the goal posts - we were talking about the pipelines. Pipelines are transportation infrastructure. And pipelines have historically been proven to be much more economical AND much more environmentally friendly compared to the alternatives - rail and trucking - which is what we've been forced to use in place of the pipelines. This makes oil-based products more expensive and has led to many more environmentally damaging leaks and spills - which are rarely reported on because that doesn't advance the narrative.
