Was the way Alexey Anatolyevich Navalny was treated significantly different then how Australian Julian Assange is being treated?

The Kremlin has poisoned Navalny, imprisoned him unjustly, kept him in harsh conditions, and denied him medical care. It is the Russian Government that is responsible for Navalny’s death while in detention. And now, in any other society – in a free, democratic society – we would see openness and transparency as his family seeks more information about their beloved son, husband, and father. But of course, in Russia, openness and transparency remain in short supply.

When it comes to US persecution of journalists, what about the case of Australian Julian Assange, who has been held at Belmarsh Prison in London for the past five years, poorly treated, tortured at times, often denied access to his lawyers, all at the demand of the US Government?

If he was killed than i feel sorry for him because no one deserves to die like this but why couldn't he accept that he cannot keep fighting and humiliating and legendary ceasar who is the president of russia "vladimir putin", just because the man wants to keep his country rich in morals & values, strong in god's faith, reject the rotten teachings of some european and western societies, they just want to keep attacking him because he's a straight man who doesn't bow and say yes sir for everything he is ordered to do!

I would say it´s different because people are aware of where Assange is and it´s clearer from a foreigners perspective why Assange is imprisoned. The Navalny case is different since Navalny was moved to another prison without telling his lawyer and family and there was a time period where didn´t know where he was. I would also say the difference is that Assange hasn´t been physically attacked by American agents since they would have shot him not poisoned.
