Assuming it was an English born Billionaire, such as Jim Radcliffe, then I have more in common with a Billionaire than an illegal immigrant. I value the country of my birth, I speak its native language, I add value to the country, I support my country over others, I do not let religion sway me over who I support globally, I do not expect hand outs from a country that I will turn against and exploit its freedoms. I would not expect to be treat different from others born in the UK, would not demand 4 star hotel treatment.

If I owned a company, I would pay a fair wage but also allowed the company security to expand and make me profit. Any business owner will to some degree exploit everyone for money, more money means more jobs.
Now what do I have in common with a illegal immigrant coming from a country thousands of miles from Europe, does not have western values, does not speak English, does not accept that women have rights that they did not have in their country of origin, that women do not have to cover up, where that persons religion is more important than the country now giving them shelter, that expects or rather demands hand outs when others in the country they now reside do not demand but know they need to work for them.

Having been a legal immigrant, the illegals have nothing in common with me. They violate laws as soon as they enter a country illegally and have no respect for its people and values.

I have not much in common with a billionaire but I have not much in common with an illegal either. This is not the gotcha you think it is. To understand internationalism is to understand the people's need for community and their own cultures of which the nation state is one giant representative of culture and the many within it.

After all as well, 1+1 = 2 we cannot sustain demand for basic goods and services importing as much cheap labour as humanly possible..
