No I just happen to know how security regarding presidents, senators etc work because I have a security clearance for the work I do and to qualify for one I have to have no said anything indicating intent to harm an elected official online. I have actually been called by agencies when I buy certain items at stores using a debit/credit card because I am a biochemist and the items I bought while completely benign to most could be used for harmful things in my hands.

Coding knowledge and security clearance knowledge are entirely different. If you buy certain items at a store in conjunction with each other you enter a watch list if you say certain combinations of words in conjunction with other words you enter a watch list. A watch list and a visit from the fbi, swat and police are entirely different. Case and point www.cbsnews.com/.../ this guy made a direct threat on Facebook and was arrested and charged very rapidly. As a coder you know that you can set filters to track certain words and words in conjunction with each other unless you are very low level coder.

Now given what you know about coding and what you know about how seriously they take security for elected officials. What is the simplest method to ensure the safety of an elected official when it comes to online activities? You run a massive program that scans all of the internet and pulls conversations that utilize certain combination of words and places those ips on a watchlist. Exact same way they track terrorist chatter online. The president is immune to most criminal charges while in office you would need to read the constitutional provisions article 3 III section 4 for precisely what charges the president is immune to. He is not immune to all and has already been ruled as such on a few instances already.

@JacobJordan I know what he's immune of. Trump is claiming blanket immunity, which we can all see is a bad idea, but for some reason SCOTUS decided to hear it. As for the keyword watchlist people go on and off constantly once we see what they actually said. For example I was saying what could happen in a certain instance, but not saying it would, so if that keyword put me a watchlist the full reading of what I said would remove me.
