Trending & News No, it has not even benefited women and it has actively harmed men.
As for Women:
Division among women: feminism has led to divisions among women, with different waves and branches of feminism advocating for different goals and ideologies. This can create internal conflicts and disagreements among women.
Pressure to conform: certain feminist movements have created a sense of pressure for women to conform to specific ideologies or viewpoints. This pressure may lead to a feeling of exclusion for those who do not fully embrace certain feminist ideas.
Perceived victimization: certain feminist narratives may portray women as perpetual victims, which can be disempowering. Some argue that focusing too much on victimhood may hinder women from recognizing and embracing their agency and strengths.
Hostility towards traditional roles: certain feminist ideologies have been hostile towards traditional gender roles and choices made by some women, such as choosing to be stay-at-home mothers or pursuing more traditional roles. Critics say that this can undermine women's choices and freedom.
Lack of inclusivity: certain feminist movements have historically been exclusive, not fully representing the experiences and concerns of women from diverse backgrounds, such as women of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, or those with different socioeconomic statuses.
As for men:
Perceived demonization of men: expressions of feminism may inadvertently contribute to a perception that all men are part of the problem, reinforcing negative stereotypes and fostering hostility towards men.
Bias in legal and societal systems: feminist advocacy have led to changes in legal and societal systems that they believe are biased against men. Examples include family court decisions, where some argue that men may face disadvantages in custody battles.
Impact on traditional male roles: the push for gender equality and challenging traditional gender roles may have negative consequences for men who feel marginalized or uncertain about their roles in society. Some argue that this could contribute to a sense of confusion or loss of identity for some men.
Dismissal of men's issues: feminist spaces may dismiss or downplay issues affecting men, such as higher rates of workplace injuries, lower educational attainment, or a higher rate of suicide. They argue that this focus on women's issues may leave men's concerns unaddressed.
Educational disparities: efforts to address gender imbalances in education may inadvertently disadvantage boys in some academic settings, leading to calls for a more nuanced approach to gender issues in education.
Is this a serious question? No it has not, it has turned man against woman and woman against man. It is being used to criminalize men with this sexual harassment nonsense, and is now becoming dictatorship. They want to ban men from looking at women, sitting next to them on public transport or standing too close to them in public.
It has also had untold damage for disabled people, which is largely ignored, disability abortion, creep shaming men with Autism or learning disabilities, women taking disabled seating and parking using their kids to justify it.
No. It’s ruined the natural dynamics each gender plays. Women are just filled by other loose women who have ended up alone and want it to seem like it’s great when it’s not. They’re also filled by the life of working because the government gets paid more tax.
End of the day women can say they’re strong and independent but watch someone try break into their homes, try something with them on the street, help changing a tyre, ect… they’ll be looking for a man to help.
Women need men and men need women.
so you think that women shouldn’t be allowed to vote, have jobs, have freedom of speech, dress in anything other than long dresses, be independent, get divorce in a toxic marriage, drive, etc? do you have ANY idea what feminism did for women? shame on you, sexist pos.
@marriecarlson She didn't say that. Why are you attacking a strawman here?
@marriecarlson you clearly love to jump to conclusions! You ended your paragraph shaming me, another woman. If you’re a feminist, you don’t believe in shaming women but supporting their choice that they’ve chosen to make for themselves.
I hope you have a good day x
Not within the last 60 years, no. In the West at least there is no longer any need to be a radfem; if anything, it's the men who should be out on the streets now, because they're the ones getting screwed left, right and centre.
In the backward Islamic world, on the other hand...

Sure, and still is.
At least for people here. Just last year fathers got earmarked 11 weeks of the parental leave - opposed to the 2 weeks before. Both men and women are against and for - I'm fully for, this will bring more equality in other areas as well.
Up until about 1960 yes. After that hell no. My mom was a feminist she stopped because and I quote "if this is what feminism is becoming women should never have had rights" obviously she doesn't mean that but what she is saying is pretty clear though
these comments are genuinely concerning. feminism is what gave women the right to vote, to divorce their husbands, to have jobs, to drive, to have free speech, to dress in literally anything other than long dresses, to be equal in society to men, etc. if you’re that uneducated to think feminism hasn’t benefited society then you straight up think women should be below men again. google is free, search for the definition of feminism. fuck is wrong with you people.
I said no because modern feminism has harmed society more than original feminism helped.
We are all worse off where it counts when you take away benefits gained from unrelated progress like technology and energy.
that’s not the question that was asked, and what do you mean “modern feminism has harmed society” where? the usa? the uk? what about in countries where women are still fighting for their basic rights? for their education? for the right to show their FACES outside? this is all happening RIGHT NOW!!
@marriecarlson Yes, but it's not happening in the West, those two countries you named (the UK and USA) being examples. Feminism isn't needed in the civilised countries of the world, only the more primitive ones.
1850s feminism didn't help because "emphasizing political rights (voting) that were the privileges of the upper classes, the feminist movement had little connection with ordinary women". when they achieved it was it for all women?
I know a lot of guys like to bash feminism, but anything that increases the amount of power, influence and most importantly, respect that women receive can only be viewed as a tremendously positive development, in my opinion.
anything? what about saving job spots in management for less qualified?
@strateguy632 You're talking about politics now, immigrants and non Caucasian people being moved ahead of the rest of us in the name of 'equity', etc. That's a separate deal from feminism.
Depends on what. Voting rights, anti-abuse, reproductive rights, etc... those were good things. However there are bad things as well that I think harmed society, such as SJW's attacking anyone, even if the accusation is false, as well as hating on men.
In all, I think that the feminism movement in Europe is much better than in the U. S where it's not extreme as it is here in America
Trust me it is worse
Mum's expected to now work full time and than go home and do the house chores chores on top of it?
Well feminism has certainly benefited women lol... Not.
yeah its kinda weird now days but its definitely benefitted society bc you gotta remember its been around for a LONG time
Neither has lol
what has masculine done for Science, literature, maths, physics,
Feminism or the distant past, yes.
Modern feminism, no. It has done so much harm to society and gender relation in thee last 20 years that I question whether that damage can ever be repaired.
Modern feminism definitely hasn't
Making you hate men doesn't really help
Obviously. Women don't need to be gold diggers anymore.
Of course!
No doesn’t help
Definitely not.
not on long term
