It would allow men to have children on their own and let women have children without taking a massive physical toll on them as well as eliminating the need for maternity leave

That would be a horrible advancement. As it would remove the singular purpose for which men and women being together is. To procreate. Sure they don't have to but it is far better to be with a woman who you intend to have kids with than a woman who doesn't. Either way you are getting expenses
