You mean caste system from Hinduism? No, but there are divisions. Not based on 'varnas' or occupations like in Hinduism, but more because of historical events and interpretational differences of the scriptures. But in the Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan and Bangladesh), Muslims have adopted this cultural non sensical stuff of classifying Muslims in ashrafs, sayyeds, ansaris based on lineage. This division, along with adoption of culture, pre-Islamic practices of the subcontinent has led to some societal hierarchical divisions in the Muslim community (which doesn't go to the extent of untouchability like among Hindus or cleansing the water tanks with cow urine if a dalit happens to drink from the tank) still cause a rot within the community. These things have also created problems in marriages if a person happens to have different 'class'. Other than that, there are interpretational differences of scriptures (sects like Bareilvis, Deobandis) and historical events leading to division of the Muslim Ummah (Shia, Sunni). Even though it is strictly prohibited in Islam to get divided, and heavily condemned to create classes, unIslamic practices and hypocrisies based on the same still plague the community. They take shahada (testimony) by saying it but hearts are still tainted.

These differences are still getting cleared up, thankfully. As the young people including myself are more adhering to the scriptures than listening to the deviant scholars who will speak 6/10 things authentic and other 4 to propagate their deviant beliefs... Often heretical.

Colourism, where lighter-skinned blacks are preferred over coal-blacks such as I. The practice is another slavery holdover, where "Field N*******" were midnight-black and as the name suggests, picked the cotton and did the other back-breaking chores the "House N*******," usually the lighter skinned children of the master's rape of his slave girls, did the house chores which were far less onerous and dangerous then the field work. Later, amongst the black bourgeoisie,"brown bag parties" were gathering limited to blacks no darker than a brown paper bag. Even today, especially among women (black men can be as imperial black and be considered handsome, as I am), lighter-skinned gals are often preferred to darker-skinned chicks.(I prefer the darker babes with big boobs.) Colourism is one thing among others which impedes our further advancement.

In a way, yes, in different ways. Of course not to the same extent as the caste system, but privilege of being from a family with money and what doors that will open for you.

Then you have "pretty privileges" with better looking people getting away with stuff others wouldn't and get some things handed to them just for their looks.

Oh yes. Socio-economic structure and an idea that unsuccessful people are lazy when in fact many working-class men and women work way harder than the academicly inclined.

Also in most societies higher learning comes at an expense that most regular people simpy can't afford.

Absolutely not. The "closest" to such a relict would maybe be the lives of the so-called "Upper 10.000", that usually want to stay among themselves, which includes their marriages.

I think to an extent, yes. Military people and senior citizens for instance get treated better than other people. And I think affirmative action is also sort of based in the caste system.
