How do you identify upper-class people?

When I walk to school, I pass a street full of wealthy people and I realize, I only can identify that they are wealthy from their cars. So I wonder how can you tell if someone is from upper class?

Oh you be surprised. People become wealthy thanks to their smart brains in saving habits. Not everyone that's wealthy was born into a rich family. Me I am very extremely cheap thanks to my saving habits I own a paid off house paid off dodge truck. I have friends that spend like crazy on mac cosmetics new designers bags its all on credit cards later I hear them complain and blame their financial issues on inflation. If yoy can get the cheapest items why not? When I wasyoung I work over time I lost count how many family gatherings weddings parties I've mist. But I worked hard for it. Generally speaking we buy expensive clothes but avoid anything with a visible brand label. We don't need to advertise what brands we wear. You might also notice our clothes are well lived in but not tatty.

Our posture is also a clue, we don't stand like monkeys or walk like we're looking for a fight. If we have an issue in a shop or restaurant we quietly bring it to their attention and don't make a scene.

My mom's house was purchased from a multimillionaire who drove a 30-year-old pickup truck with two rusted quarter panels and a broken AC. Conversely, I see a lot of nice cars when I'm in the hood. Be careful what you assume about a person's car. I drove my last one to 300k miles. I plan on my 2013 being the last car I buy at least until after retirement in 6 years, when I'll likely pick up a second vehicle (truck).

Hey smart think 👍 I agree with your staement. People think that it's like in the movies they picture millionaires driving convertibles and all this expensive designers stuff lol. Only if they knew. I am very cheap when it comes to spending when people se my bank account their faces are all shocked ad surprised. Yeah its about being debt free and being smart on how to manage money. I have friends that own teslas wear expensive clothing but blame their economical issues on inflation livong pay check to pay check. People think that I exaggerated but hey I am debt free. Often those that appear wealthy are living beyond their means, they seldom own their fancy cars as they're leased which is not a financially wise choice unless it's leased by an incorporated business that is making enough net profit to write off the payments.

This week I pissed off one, and guess what: the idiot didn't get what he claimed to get: attention.
Then there's the upper class of free-thinking individuals... which is open to everyone smart enough.
Not to forget the upper-class of 'moronity' - which consists of uninformed rabble.
In a way all of "us" are... "upper class".

A lot of wealthy people drive very unassuming cars. A lot of non-wealthy people drive cars they can't really afford (see: my nephew). And a lot of wealthy people dress in jeans and t's, because they can.
