It always seemed related to me to the Marxist notion of class consciousness, for the proletariat to develop consciousness of class conflict and overthrow capitalism in a proletariat revolt.

Except it's with a twist of not basing it on class but things like race and sex. Overthrow white privilege, overthrow male privilege, overthrow cisprivilege, slim privilege, heteronormativity, patriarchy, capitalism (as a subset of patriarchy), toxic masculinity, etc.

It's a revolutionary call except instead of with Leninists as the revolutionary vanguard, it's intersectional feminists as the vanguard.

It's rooted in "social justice" which I always saw as a tyrannical concept, because if we aren't applying justice at the level of individuals and instead entire groups of people, then we are punishing at least a subset who are completely innocent simply for belonging in that group who aren't.
