I wonder why anyone free American would stay in such a socialist state. Things will only go more to the left and get worse there.

I like to be punished , you should see what happens in bedroom. I also enjoy stepping on needles and seeing trash in front of my house.

I like socialism and being told what I can and can't do with my life. I also love paying higher prices for everything.

I stay for weather and surfing dude and I live off of social entitlements

I would like to move

I grew up in the South Bay part of L. A. County and lived there from the time I was born in 1954 until I moved in 2000. It was wonderful.

I now live in a rural part of Northern California in foothills between the Central Valley and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. There are farms, ranches and wineries, lots of organic farms and naturally raised meat and dairy.

The more idiotic kind of liberals (affluent, latte liberal Democrats) congregate in larger cities. Unfortunately, they dominate state elections. But not all of Californians are Democrat.

My area is full of conservatives, as well as independent-minded, classic (not woke) liberals/progressives. Both groups see eye to eye to a great extent and even collaborate on issues regarding liberty, such as opposing covid and climate mandates, and a growing the "American national"/"sovereign citizen" movement, electing "constitutional sheriffs", etc. I fall into that group.

I'm not a dyed in the wool conservative. In fact, I disagree with conservatives on a lot of things like women's rights and laizzez faire economics. At the same time, I despise woke liberalism. I'm more of a classic liberal or left-libertarian. I don't paint myself with a label because that is the same as saying I'm part of this or that political herd. A label doesn't come close to defining my views or values. The people I respect have the same attitude.

So I'll stay in California. I love my home and 30 gorgeous acres. I love my proximity to great stuff. And leaving the state would be like giving up. When I complain about something and some idiot says "If you don't like this country, why don't you move to _____ ", my thought is "No. I love this country and will continue working to change it for the better."
I'm not inclined to surrender the best state in the country to the WEF globalists who want a CCP-style society. Fuck that.
