It's not like there aren't many ways to copy of the book for free; this is just a special promotion. I suppose it's kind of meant to imply that God endorses his candidacy, which is another matter altogether, but selling the books themselves is fine.
To my mind, anyway- Jesus had a rather different idea. If he also raised money by selling images of Jesus whipping him down the street, he could probably buy half the country.

I don’t understand why anyone would buy a bible these days. You can very easily find free bible files online and print it out.
You forgot to mention that the "candidate" who is selling them isn't even a Christian.

If people wish to buy the book from him, they are free to do so. Its not illegal to sell books. They have other options to get a bible if they don’t want to pay him.
