Well, without being more specific I am not sure that I can answer your question - if such an outburst can be called - in any meaningful way. That said, I can only offer my credentials.

For my part, I have a dual degree in Communications and Political Philosophy. (Typically I limit my writing to the Politics and Trending News sections of this site.) I have worked for three Members of Congress, starting as the Legislative Correspondent for one of them and working my way up in that office to Legislative Director. I was also both the Press Secretary and the Legislative Director for the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee.

In addition, I was Editor of the House GOP Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare. (Where I earned myself a position on an Afghan terrorist's hit list.) I have been published in a number of newspapers - either under my own name or that of my employers - including the Washington Post, the Washington Times, the New York City Tribune and the Orlando Sentinel. I also have helped to write or amend numerous pieces of legislation, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, among others.

If the above does not suggest that I do not have at least some standing to opine on the questions presented on this site, I am not sure what I could offer. Grant that perhaps not everyone on this site is as thoughtful and educated as you might prefer, but I can attest that my own experience here has been enjoyable and I have run into some very well informed people.

Forgive me, I do not mean to offend. However, I am not sure of what your credentials are, but at bare minimum you might engage with those with whom you disagree rather than simply posting a question-cum-rant.

Well, let's see. I am familiar with the general principles of law. I have, as I said, contributed to government directly. (A government, which, by the way, has the following profile: 1 in 6 who works, works for government. 1 in 7 is a Social Security recipient. 1/3 of all families, this year, will receive some form of transfer payment.)

As noted I have worked on foreign policy questions including questions related to terrorism and security against the same. In that connection, I have explored - see also political philosophy degree above - the relationship between ideas, human behavior, justice and governance.

Again, it is not really possible to answer a question as vague as yours'. Indeed, the same might be asked of you. What good did your tirade-cum-question do for the greater good. You tear down but offer nothing positive.

Indeed, you are a symptom of the populism of the age. We hardly need more of that.

I think most people know what their talking about, but wether what their saying has value is another matter.

I guess you mean, you feel people are 'talking out of their hats'. Meaning either openly lying or being deluded about their opinions. Well I would say thats a risky position to presume. Even people who don't really know truth, often will know what their saying they just won't agree on the truth as defined by some set of other people.

Proof is always subjective. Most points of debate come down to a set of a persons experiences coupled with the most common shared experience. Even when it comes to science, science is wise enough to know to talk in percentages and probabilities rather than hard unequivicable statements. The universe is complex and diverse, just because every scientist is able to repeat some experiment doesn't guarentee everyone will get the same result (but it does set a probability and that probabilty for it to be scienticfic needs to be above some percentage).

Putting all that another way, just because very time I did a thing, I got a particular result doesn't mean thats the only result attainable, it just means it's a highly probable outcome.

Also, it's very easy to find something written or documented to back any idea, it is why historians rarely agree and scientists debate continiously.

My point here is, YOU are acting like you know what your talking about too. So am I. So are many people. It's the rarity people are absolutely right or wrong. Whilst I sympathise with the feeling behind your post (as it often feels like compared to ourselves others are lazy and not ""fact checked"", that position to hold it an unwise one because it discounts ourselves and that most of ours knowledge is set by others collective believes and 'experiments', aka it's the rare person that can prove the sun is molten, but we can all believe it and some are willing to take others words who have the capacity to check, others are skeptical.. its all good; Except for people who are deliberately knowingly misleading others for profit or ill will).
