Oh man. Where do I begin? The whole situation is complete bullshit.

First, I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment of the FDNY members who were vocally letting their displeasure with Letitia James known. However, there's a time and place for everything. Booing her while they're on the clock is wrong, regardless of whatever I think about her professionally. I was very critical (rightfully so) of NFL players who were kneeling during the National Anthem, and this is no different. No matter what your job is, when you're at work and "on the clock", it's not your time. You're getting paid to perform a professional service for others. Regardless of your political leanings, protest on your own time.

With that stated, for the FDNY Commissioner to say that those who booed with be "hunted down" is not only unacceptable, it's despicable. What the FDNY rank-and-file did at that ceremony was a suspendable offense; what the FDNY Commissioner posted about those FDNY members was a threat and a fireable offense.
