Why don't some men who act like women assume that they don't deserve to be considered "men"?

I was once a virile man myself, and for reasons that would take too long to explain here I've become totally feminine, wearing heels, make-up etc. But I don't pretend to be a man because I know I've lost the right to call myself one.

I suspect it's backwards. No one "deserves" to be called a man. It's not an earned title. But you think you can escape being called one by appealing to other men's sense of wanting to think themselves better than someone else. The problem is "man" is not a compliment. It just is what it is. There is nothing magic about being a man nor is there anything magic about being a woman. But if people want to call you a woman for your own peace of mind, great. But just say that. There's no angle or sleight of phrase needed.
