There's some delusional people about how sarcasm works on this question. There's nothing hard to understand about sarcasm.

It's hard to get right but when it hits It's amazing. The problem is everyone is going for the half court shot on a make belive buzzer and it dosen't land and it's not good with anyone else that's not in the game mindset.

The joke is being made faster then you can think of it so you have to commit to it. Nothing is worse than a good joke with bad timing so you have to fully commit. Then eat the consequences.
