In my area, I'm seeing stores steeply lowering prices of some grocery items, making them more competitive with other grocers or even cheaper.

My suspicion is peeked given the timing to "change perception". There could be other drivers leading to such changes.

Cost of food... inflation... is a huge factor mentality.

Are you seeing prices changing... lower? Do you think the fed is "greasing the wheels" of the economy to make things look good, to distort the election?

Anyone work in the grocery world to help explain it works?

In other news... Gold topped $2400 an oz... first time in history! Real money... is going up, fake money, going down. Hard to believe prices of other real things are going down... when fertilizer, feed, etc... going up.

Hey, Re our private chat uk v usa... yesterday morning Tesco supermarket chain reported pre tax profit last year 800,000,000 to 2.3 trillion this year... WTAF so right, the prices have increased because of good ole covid STILL then we left the EU mostly because they didn't want the change and control over Londinium, did you know it is its own entity and has its own police force etc... because of the world of deviant finance exists there... money can flow through it to offshore tax havens... so these kind of moves by our deceitful lying scamming tories are just robbing the poor to let the rich get richer... it sucks it sucks it sucks

Commodity prices don’t go up in a straight line. The one lever Biden foolishly pulled was to release oil from the strategic petroleum reserve to suppress oil price. He did that until it became unsustainable due to the reduced volume of oil in the reserve. Also, the reserve is permanently damaged due to rapid withdrawal of the oil. Hope compromising national security was worth it for the short-term political gain, lol.

What exactly do you think he could DO to change grocery prices? He's a President, not a god-king. He's also not a governor (or emperor, like they have in Illinois). THOSE people can make measures affecting food prices. Not a President.
