I do- but it's important to remember that it has its dangers and its downsides; there's no free lunch in these matters. Still, it's safer and cleaner than any other mass-scale option we have right now, and if Kovarex enrichment works as well as we hope, it's even renewable.

Without cheap oil, our society as it currently is can't sustain itself, and we've gotten to all the easy-to-access stuff. We NEED alternatives, and the only other option we currently have is coal, which is an environmental disaster. Actually, assuming we could tap it completely, Yellowstone could meet the current energy (not merely electrical, but ENERGY) needs of the entire human race. We can't, for both technical and legal reasons, but there are other supervolcanoes. It's something to think about.

Nuclear energy can be a great source of energy. The problem is that the companies that operate the stations are always looking for ways to save money. This is what puts the public at risk and gives nuclear energy a bad rap.

If it is contained in a safe place, then it's fine. Nuclear energy also stops wars cause people are afraid to kill others knowing it could destroy their entire country when somebody retaliates against their aggression.

Nope and never actually. It's detrimental for environmental structure, animals and surely humans while there are many renewable energy sources. I am against it.

Yes. Renewable energy is fine, while it is working which is not all the time. Nuclear is on all the time and provides a consistent platform for the energy provision to build upon.
