Is it true that people with learning disabilities are more intelligent than average people?

I believe people with learning disabilities are far more smarter than the avg joe. One reason is because they have it harder in life, they need to grow up fast. They usually have a better understanding and find what they are good at in life and make it being successful. I do admit they will not be good at all things but like all disabilities they all find one specific niche in life that they are very very good at. I mean I have ADHD but here I am... made 205k last year and 120K last year. Have a house, truck, 2 motor cycles. No kids lol honestly I think I'm doing good so far compared to others my age.

I do agree. First reason because they have difficulty in learning so they learn something connecting it with basic while an average person doesn't even bother to know about basic so yes they will have limited knowledge but with the basic clear. So it's a plus point. Second thing as you said they know clearly that this is their weakness so they try to focus more their time and energy in other areas where they are good at. But an average person get stuck comparing themselves with all normal people. They often fail to recognise their individual capacity their individual potential so more often they are running the race which is not ment for them.

I for one am quite happy that sure I may be 30, single, and own few large assets (no house of mine, no car, etc) yet I do have gratefulness for health, happiness, loyal small friends circle, and humble spirit. 😋🥳 And wisened up to storing savings rather than gambling, squirrel lol 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️
