I'm Black and I agree with this message.
I deplore things which celebrate our differences. We should be seeking to become one culture. Celebrate every individual on the basis of their merits and not due to the color of their skin. Don't get me wrong there was a time when Blacks had been beat down that the olive branch of Black History Month may have helped some walk with their heads higher, but now it divides us. Everyone who thinks themselves a minority wants the same type of recognition. Where does that end?
I would rather lose the divisive traditions and become one culture than be fractured into hundreds of millions.

The whole interview was brilliant. He's absolutely right. The only way something stops being an issue is if it stops getting airtime. Why should Black history be relegated to a twelfth of the year? History is colourblind. We don't know what ethnicity Spartacus was beyond being a gladiator. But we don't have Gladiator History Week. It would be great to have Viking History Month. And America only has about 250 years of history anyway. You could teach the most salient points in a month and give the rest of the year to global history...

Very funny. Surely there should be a white month.
He said that a few years ago, I believe. Sounds about right to me.
