+1 yI see a lot of people comment, when questions like these come up, about how we shouldn’t send money abroad when we have pressing needs at home. This is child math.
We should fund our own issues at home, such as repairing a worn down and under-equipped military, securing the border, and a dozen other issues. This does not mean we exclude ourselves from involvement in international crisis.
The funding of some nations is a direct support of their actions. Other times it’s not so much as a support of them specifically as it is just trying up the hands of a (even if only just for now) common enemy. We have been watching Russian saber rattling for several years now and currently they are completely tied up in Ukraine and their intervention in the Middle East is less than it was five years ago. This is not a bad thing. Should Russia steamroll over Ukraine their ownership over their seaports would significantly change the reality of the geopolitical situation. Since Ukraine seems to be holding on better than anyone thought it’s worth it to keep funding some part of their defense. (This is partially because the Russians have never been able to fight big wars well…their logistics are substandard and the command and control, particularly their NCO corps, is an abomination.). So, why keep finding this?
Does anybody think China isn’t watching Ukraine? The giant Bear attacking the little dog? When the great Chinese dragon plans to do the exact same thing in Taiwan? In the world of statesmanship and international intervention there is a message being sent to Beijing and Ukraine is the vessel. This is FAR more important than the outcome of Kyiv.
Iran too, is starting to destabilize the region and if you refer back to Iranian gas crisis - you cut the available amount of fuel to the US and increase the price per gallon to $10 and you’ll see people demanding US action overnight, who are rambling on about not being involved.
Isolationism failed when we’ve tried it before and arguably led to WWI, which led to WWII, which led to the Cold War, the remnants of which still shape the world today.
Yes. We need to fund interests abroad. It’s critical in the grand scheme of things.21 Reply- +1 y
not child math, the debt is gigantic! due to obama n worse by hiden administration.

Let's be clear on something, 90% of that money isn't a cash transfer.
It mainly involves sending out our own weapons systems that are mostly obsolete or nearing it's end of useful service life in our own military.
It is either you approve a bill to get it used up in a battle field or we have to pass an even bigger bill to send it to be decommissioned at a scrapyard as either way the military will be getting new toys.
Nothing advertises a product better than it scoring good victories on the field, this whole farce of politicians on both sides of the house has harmed and hurt our defense industries, Poland a Nato country has looked to South Korea as it's defense equipment supplier, so has many of the Baltics that are also Nato members, this flip flopping is sending out a fantastic message that America isn't a reliable or useful partner in the defense world.
Oh I suspect this is a russian troll or a Majorie Traitor Greene henchmen post.00 Reply

+1 yWe should be sending more to Ukraine and at the same time undoing the cuts to our own military the government has done over the years to give tax cuts to bribe voters. If Ukraine falls there's a good chance they'll attack a nato country next.

I smell borscht. Russian troll perhaps?
- +1 y
You people are so pathetically predictable. You can't even say why we should be sending billions to foreign CUNTries, so you throw out the only response you've been programmed to say, "Russian troll". I bet you still believe the "Russian collusion" lie that seventeen staunch demokkkrats proved was a lie. What a papathetic beta existence you live.

Well, you would be mistaken. I have several well considered reasons for my opinions. But, rather than repeat myself just read my own reply, on this same thread. Your reliance on insult and assumptions such as Russian Collusion tell me all I need to know.

In contrast, Israel previously held larger American weapon stockpiles in country for response to region conflicts as part of an agreement with America. Democrats decided to strip those weapons from Israel's stockpiles and given them to Ukraine, who ended up selling off portions of them to Hamas and other who then used those same weapons against Israel when they initiate conflict. Biden additionally paid the Palestinians hundreds of millions of dollars several days before the attack by Hamas and Biden removed oil sanctions from Iran so that they could build up a nest egg to finance terrorist actions world wide. Additionally Biden released the merchant of death, a very famous black market arms dealer and also left an enormous stockpile of American weapons in Afghanistan to arm Muslim terrorists in their efforts to attack Israel. Clearly the conflict Israel is currently in is a direct result of American Democrat policy who financed and armed the attackers, and there are smaller stockpiles of weaponry in the region to respond to said conflict directly because of Democrat policy. It is a war that was engineered by Democrats... While Americans should not fight in Israel, the weapon stockpiles that were stripped from Israel should likely be replenished. If Israel needs to buy weaponry from America at any point in the conflict I'd say that's fair game. If airspace is defended by America to prevent escalation to a larger region conflict, I think that is also fair game. Clearly Democrats should clean up their mess and mop up all those weapons they put in Muslim hands to create this war.

The problem is, Democrats created the problem so they aren't going to do the right thing to maintain diplomatic relationship, instead they are going to double down on that shit and pull troops out of Niger and leave more weapons behind to escalate the conflict. Niger is 99.3% Muslim by the way... It's easy to see who Democrats have allied with and who they are attacking.
- +1 y
What's even crazier is that Democrat told everyone to just "go learn to code" when clearly they know nothing about software development or Israel's role in the technology business and how our economies and research programs are intertwined. They want everyone to go learn to code, then the finance and arm radical Muslims to attack Israel which is basically the second largest high-tech community right behind Silicon Valley. There is cooperation between major portions of American Democrat economies and Israel, but they finance a war against Israel which will negatively impact companies that do business in California for example.

Dip shit Democrats fund Azov Nazis in Ukraine and shout death to Israel and America while waving Palestinian flags on the weekends and then turn around and go to work at Israeli companies on Monday morning in California...

correct this better explained what trump said. see my old question
Who agrees with trump? who hopes trump will return as president? ↗
+1 yFuck no. Enough is enough! There's no chance in hell Ukraine ever winning this war. Our tax dollars are being openly laundered. Ukraine has never been an ally to America. They've always been corrupt as hell. The demokkkrat party is paying them to protect our bioweapons labs and our governments dark secrets. This shit needs to stop.
Israel are big boys. They've retaliated to an attack on their land. We need to stay out of it. We need to stay out of both wars, period.
I thought it was Trump that was going to get us into WWII. Hmmm I guess that was just another lie, starting with the Russian collusion lie. The demokkkrat party are evil miserable corrupt twunts.20 ReplyNo, if my government gives any aid to any country then our economy will definitely collapse. It's hard to feed our own people, why should we give aid to other countries? Instead of giving aid, wasting time and money in wars, we should help them to stop the war. I only support if governmant wants to give food, clothes, water and shelter on humanitarian grounds. I hate violence, crime, criminals, conflicts and wars.
Wars are money 🤑💰 making business for big companies which makes arms and ammunitions.

u. s. gigantic debt must stop giving charity to everybody ALL cuntries except CLOSEST allies like israel.
nato must help ukraine to DELAY bigger cost wen putin wil attak nato! but they aren't allies with israel.
00 Reply 18.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes. And just fyi, foreign aid has always been like 1% of the budget.
But Israel (despite its recent Gaza war) is a stable democracy in an unstable region.
Ukraine can also be a stable democracy and new marketplace for EU capitalists. And it would be a planetary blessing for Putin to lose this war.00 Reply
+1 yI think the money can well be spent within the country not only for the wellbeing of its citizens but also for military expenditure. I honestly don’t feel afraid that Russia will invade Sweden or any of the Nato countries.
