Yeah its a weird form of pride but I am convinced he has it. All too often he holds grudges or lashes out at things that would not make sense for a calculated scam artist. Essentially he is overreacting to his feelings.

Some examples are how touchy he is on crowd sizes or how he called in on 9/11 to brag about how his building was now the tallest.

That said his pride appears to strike at random and its very hard to predict on what specific thing he will be obsessed about and what he is perfectly happy with selling off for a scam.
