Generally when people talk about the "deep state" they are referring to independent federal agencies who are run by non-elected bureaucrats. I'd rather he shut down these agencies permanently, but he is taking on the deep state, this is what he said he was going to do, and what people want him to do.

I mean do we really want independent organizations running around with no accountability to elected representatives? Like it or not Trump was elected, by the majority of the US. He should be able to control federal agencies. Not a fan of the guy, but criticize him when he does things that are bad.

The president has total executive power over the entire federal government other than legislative and judicial branches. He does not even have to abide by any court ruling. The only recourse against the president is impeachment and conviction by the senate or removal under the 25th amendment.

It looks like a power play to seize control of financial institutions. FDIC insures deposits into banks for example. I can think of some situations where this could be used to confiscate assets from his political opponents without having the FDIC accept a claim.

So we are the government, not is "free" it comes from us taxpayers.
That is why it is so nice to see someone that is finding all of that wasted money.
I dont have that kind of money to waste.
They can spend a few million like it is nothing, and since it isn't their money why should they care.

@Fireguy17 there's far more wasted in uncollected or avoided taxes from the billionaires who have corrupted the government so much in the US that they pay less than the average worker in income. Like didn't Tesla pay 0 taxes last year? A multibillion company pays nothing to exist in the US market?

@Shiprex when you have money you have people that use the system to their advantage to keep from paying any more than they have to pay.
Just because someone is a billionaire, that is their net worth, not necessarily what they earned in a year.
Take Jared Polis, democrat congressman, his net worth is in the hundreds of millions, yet he paid nothing in taxes in 2013, 14 and 15.
George Soros, democrat, did not pay any income tax in 2016, 17 and 2018.
Jeff Bezos saved about 1 billion in taxes by a move to Florida.
Some ultra rich are in the 26% tax bracket, way less than you or i.
Warren Buffet democrat, is a centibillionaire.
Don't ask me how many zeros are in that.
His wealth rose 24.3 billion dollars between 2014 and 2018, yet his tax rate is 0.1%, or just 10 cents on every 100 dollars. Way less than you or i.
For most of them their wealth derives from the skyrocketing value of their assets, like stock and property.
Those gains are not defined by US laws as taxable income unless and until they sell them.
You know that paultry few dollars you earned in interest on your bank accounts, yep you get to pay taxes on that.
Us normal people just don't make enough to have those kind of tax advantages as the ultra rich do.
It isn't that they are doing anything illegal, it's just that they use the system to their advantage.
Some may work for $1.00 a year in pay.
But, they don't pay for anything, it is a benefit, not a wage so no taxes, but they have staff, houses, yachts, jets, all available to use at no charge, and not taxable.
Its a nice system for those that can afford it.
Myself it's time for a change

And most of the US elected officials are there because they were sponsored by commercial interest and not on merit. Your system is corrupted by money. How many of those in government are millionaires or billionaires? America likes to tell everyone that "hard work can get you anywhere" and it's a crock pot of diarrhoea. It's the least socially mobile developed country in the G20. The French Aristocracy was more socially mobile than the US. Fortunately the French citizenry weren't idiots following cults and bickering about the colour of the drapes instead of the corruption of the system.

Doing what he was elected for to do by the voters makes him the opposite of fascist actually. This is democracy dude. To execute the orders of the people.

the only government departments he removed were the ones that supported Democracy. He then formed his own units like the SS and grew it big to control the people. The bigger the government the easier it is to control.

@dongie If a Democrat commits corruption, they should be held accountable. But that requires actual evidence, legal proceedings, and prosecution—not just accusations. As a registered Democrat, I don’t want corrupt Democratic politicians getting away with it. I expect every registered Republican to uphold the same principle.

The difference is that Trump was actually found guilty, with real evidence, in a court of law. Yet many refuse to accept it simply because they don’t want to believe they were wrong about him.

Meanwhile, Republican politicians and voters often treat mere allegations—ones that never lead to indictments or hold up in court—as proof. They claim, “Hunter’s laptop makes Joe Biden guilty,” without actual evidence linking it to a crime. That’s not how accountability works.

If you say you care about corruption, you can’t ignore it when it happens on your side. Trump was proven corrupt. It's ok if you didn’t always believe he was, but the evidence says otherwise. If he’s guilty of corruption, how does that make him qualified to fight it? It doesn’t.

And if Republicans truly believe Democrats are corrupt, why haven’t they found solid evidence while controlling the House, Senate, and Presidency? If they could prove it in court, I’d support holding those Democrats accountable too. But vague claims and anonymous “whistleblowers” aren’t enough. Real corruption demands real proof—on both sides.

@Dongie So objectively speaking, because I'm a dickhead apparently, the rule of law, when a guilty verdict decided in a court, doesn't matter if it happens to your favored politician, because you have evidence, that no one else can present to indict Joe Biden, the guy you say is a criminal, means what?

If Biden, the weak and feeble old man, is guilty of a crime, why haven't Republicans been able to produce and indictment that will be able to produce a result of a guilty verdict in... exactly what crime are you saying he committed?

I respect your opinion that you "think" he's guilty and worse than Trump but you all said nothing to prove that.

Also, to be fair I don't expect you to produce documents yourselves which is why I said why haven't your fearless leaders over in the GOP been able to do anything to Joe Biden?

Again, I'm not even being sarcastic when I say any of this. I'm not saying it's impossible Biden is innocent but you go off the trust me bro he's worse than Biden. My point is what you see is clear evidence isn't produced in a way (yet) because they haven't found anything they can say he's guilty of. Otherwise they would. They want to nail Biden so bad and again if they can do it legally then they should. They just haven't because as of this moment they can't because they don't have anything on him but accusations which means nothing.

Yes, you are, and when that disgusting court is made up of political adversaries, no, it doesn't count. You wouldn't accept it. Democrat judge using his bench to prevent the favorite, Trump, from running. Indicted by a Democrat corrupt DA. Democrat jury members. Even had the charges (misdemeanors) been legitimate do you think that is the makings of an honest fucking trial hose master?

Yes, Pelosi orchestrated that covid. In September of 2019, she was on a talkshow saying she didn't care about collateral damage. Whatever it takes to get him (Trump) out of office. Then, in November, she was in Wuhan, China. Look at all the deaths just to pull election fraud and keep him out for four years. Those people should be executed.

      To douchekabob,

Yeah I can't engage in conversation after this. You're not intelligent enough to understand that just saying the courts are rigged and saying everyone that's not Republican is your adversary doesn't mean you can prove it. You feel that way and you live in some phantasmagorical universe where you can change what is happening around you and alter reality to suit your needs to see the world in the image of your conspiracy that everyone's out to get just Trump. He says he will do the same to his adversaries and you're ok with it. You're a hypocrite.

When you can't even fathom the idea that Trump could just be guilty of the actual charges and the courts and jury of his peers are actually doing their jobs, then this is where we part ways...
