With all the efforts of colonizing, slavery, systematic racism, (etc.), do white people sometimes feel that minorities really don't appreciate them?

How's it before your time? You're currently living in a "colonized country", the structure of this so-called American society was built by "slaves", and systematic slavery is "stronger than ever"; perhaps you can ask one of your beer-drinking, gun-toting buddies to pull your head out of your own ass, you'll be grateful to breathe in fresh air for a change.

I live in Canada. My grandparents on both sides came here a hundred years ago from Ukraine after losing everything in the Revolution. They lost many family members who were killed for no reason. They came here with only the clothes on their backs and no money. They worked their asses off. Whatever happened before they came here is not my responsibility. We had nothing to do with that. It was a safe haven for my family and we are grateful. There are many families just like ours that immigrated here from all over the world with different skin colors that worked hard to make a better life for their kids and you shouldn't expect them to feel guilty for problems that occurred a hundred years before they came here.
