I always wondered that tbh... since white people are the most colourful. We can have any eye and hair colour while other races only have shades of brown.

The people we consider today to be the Japanese hunted them down and killed many of them, driving them to the fringes of the islands.

There are also the Manchus, Uyghurs, Tibetans etc. Yet, over the centuries, the Han have massacred and subjugated many of these people and in fact currently are doing so. Yes white is a color but this concept of "people of color" doesn't include Caucasians because it was made to separate white people from people of other races.
This is notion of "people of color" is pretty stupid to me since we all have our skin color, no one is transparent.

Don't be concerned about what color you are or what color someone else is. Be more concerned about who you are and other people are as individual.
