but... the moment hitler tyrrany was removed , the generals who wanted to surrender, were free to contact the allies on May FIRST.

why not surrender as soon as possible?

why do films like valkyrie n others try to fake history?

even history website hid the days of delay wrote "soon" so you won't notice the problem?

Because they all knew that they were going to be charged in some capacity by the world council or whatever it was called at the time. Many of them spent that time burning evidence, killing as many jews as possible to avoid information reaching the allies. You see it all the time with criminals now. They commit a crime and spend as much time as possible getting rid of evidence in the hopes to avoid worse punishment

My father was at a German prison camp at the time. It was the only time he was afraid for his life. He did not know if all the prisoners would be killed or what else would happen.

They were looking for unanimity or wanted input from people out in combat still or even whom to surrender to Yanks or commies

you projected western style on dictator. they knew they were doomed n control went to an admiral doentz who could surrender "to allies".
