Politicians seem to connect the two when they're arguing in favor of continuing funding for Israel.

The media does a poor job of distinguishing acceptance of Jews and rejecting the country of Israel's actions.

No and speaking on Palestinian issues is not automatically Pro-Hamas either. Hamas and Palestinian identity/culture are also 2 separate things, and saying otherwise means that Joe Biden's presidency and the government defines you as an American as well. These are all tactics and phrases that much of the media like Fox news uses to intimidate people from going against their narrative.
