Renting isn't bad though. You know who has to replace that dishwasher or clothing dryer if it breaks? Whoever owns the place. If you rent, that is not you. And also if you rent you can pick up anytime you want and leave, perfect for someone who doesn't want to stay in one state and be tied down.

Meanwhile the boomers took the best economy America has pretty much ever seen and quite some time and flushed it down the toilet by letting corrupt politicians brainwash them.. yeeeaaaah..

And frankly even if you own your home and owned your land, it's not really yours. You're just renting it from the government instead of some guy. Go ahead and try not paying property taxes and see what happens. You don't own your land, you don't own your home.

I would say it’s best short term or if you move a lot. If you can commit to living at one location, buy. Even a condo for $500/month is better.

Neither one pisses me off. I don’t see how or why that would come up in any real conversation. My workplace has everything from 18 - 60 and I’ve never heard anyone using generational insults except in self-deprecating jokes or fun.
