I come on this site and there are always a lot of complainers here about the economy, and I really do feel sorry for you all-All I can figure is that the complainers on this site probably live in one of the poorer southern, 'right to work' states like Mississippi, or Arkansas-but geez, haven't you noticed?-the stock market hit a new record last week and I'm not wealthy by any means but my portfolio does include a large exposure to the stock market. So I'm pretty happy with the gains I've seen under the Biden Administration. And I have used some of my discretionary money to buy buy short term CDs at 6 or more per cent, and since the inflation rate has come down, that hedge against inflation is actually a source of passive income too. My 401 is in perfect shape and I should be able to retire before I;m 60 So, I know it's hard for some, and i do feel for you, but the Biden administration has not been a disaster at all for me, which was the case during the latter part of the last administration.

Subway sandwiches used to be $5 for a footlong. Now they are over $12. This is all over the USA and yes I do travel.

What my roommate could afford not too long ago for a home is now all he can afford still despite doubling his income.

Housing, energy prices and food is skyrocketing.

my retirement account has finally recovered where it is a the same place it was when Biden was put into office. I am happy it has recovered but I feel like I lost 3 years and it is worth less because of inflation.

@exitseven unfortunately that's true. Cumulatively the reality is that if you have the same amount of dollars in that account that you had then, it's worth at least 20% less than it was 3 years ago.

Ironically, during the Biden administration, the stock market (which benefits the rich) is at all-time highs, while inflation (which affects the middle class, minorities and poor) is also at historical highs.

Good points except I would edit the first sentence to read as follows if I had posted it:

"The Democrats CLAIM THEIR main goal is to take care of the middle class, minorities and the poor."

In fact the Democrat leadership could not care less about them. And the only wealthy people they care about is themselves. It's all about power and money for THEMSELVES.
