Wall Street was pleased when Trump was elected because it knew that Trump doesn't understand finance enough to be able to regulate them. So they were going to be left alone. So the stock market rose.

Wall Street thought Biden's plans for government spending would help the economy, so the stock market went up when he was elected.

Trump lets the trickle-down boys direct his budget, including his Corporate Socialist Tax Cut of $1.5T... during good times. It was supposed to lower the unemployment rate, but largely didn't because that's not what companies needed. Numerous companies were awash in cash and started goosing their C-class stock options with stock buybacks, which their executives then sold into. (The legislation to allow for such nonsense was passed on Reagan's watch.) With less stock available, sure the stock market rose. That's not a measure of economic progress though. It was part of the death by a thousand cuts. (Jack Welch was an infamous early adopter of this strategy.)

So he doles out cash in good times, and then doesn't spend enough when the economy collapses. He did the opposite of what he should have. He didn't even get an infrastructure bill passed. Biden did. Thirty years of experience in Congress has to be worth something...

The question of economics is pretty easy when you're at the poll booth. Vote against thoroughly debunked trickle-down economics. Vote against legislatures who blocked inflation relief and protected pandemic price-gougers. Vote against the guy who went to Saudi Arabia to shut off the spigots and goose gas prices. Vote for the guy who went to Saudi Arabia to get the spigots reopened. Sure, Trump upended the apple cart, but if you don't know what the f- you're doing, you won't build back better. You might not even build back as good as it was before. But then what can you expect from someone who had to ask three times in a meeting with the Joint Chiefs of Staff why he shouldn't use nukes. He's not qualified to be a freshman at his alma mater.

I reluctantly chose Biden because there is no other choice except Trump and Trump is a mentally ill criminal who should not be in any public office for any reason. I say reluctantly that I chose Biden because I completely disapprove of what he has been doing or not been doing in Gaza and in relation to Israel in general. Shipping arms to Israel knowing what's going on was the act of a war criminal.

There are four US institutions to blame for the inflation we've seen over the past 4 years:

The congress since 2019, the Trump administration, the Biden administration, and the Federal Reserve.

In 2020, the Trump treasury Dep printed a record amount of money. That same year, congress passed, and Trump signed into law a $2.2 TRILLION stimulus package. Economists warned that would lead to inflation. You can't print that much money and flood the country with that much stimulus and not expect inflation to follow.

Then the Fed and the Biden treasury did not take inflation seriously. Remember how often they said "transitory"? Another stimulus bill was passed by congress and signed into law.

The Fed was late to take action.

Then there were supply chain issues in China and other parts of Asia that were out of the control of the US.

ALL of that led to the inflation we have seen.

If you absolve any of those four US entities, you are either partisan or economically naive or both.
