Am I wrong for being angry with my wife for spending 300 dollars on an android dots game?

I found out about this today, when I noticed a large amount of money missing from our savings. I basically told her that she was to delete the game, and never touch it again, in addition I blocked all access to it on our firewall.. She essentially wasted money we were keeping for emergencies.

I guess the consensus is even though we are unable to pay our mortgage because of her choices I have no right to be angry over her irresponsibility. Who knew this site was full of the "women can do no wrong" type of worthless piece of shit feminists. So sad.

It's ok to be upset but I think how you handled it is wrong. In the end it's her money too and she has the right to use it. Treating her like a child isn't the right way to handle it.

I didn't say you had no choice in how it's spent, but that doesn't mean she doesn't either. Like I said, it's both of your money. The money is already spent, so you "Iocking down the game" as a punishment is treating her like a child. That's what I have a problem with.

I'd be telling her the same thing I'm telling you. You handled it incorrectly but you are justified in being upset. I've been in the same kind of situation myself and I didn't treat my wife like a child and take away her credit cards. I had a conversation with her and vented why I was frustrated.

I didn't take her cards, I'd never do that. I didn't even take the game from her, I just blocked it's ability to access the net, so it can't run financial transactions. So she can still play it, just can't spend money on it.

I guess what pisses me off the most wasn't the money, granted that's a close second. It's the fact that she fell for, and became addicted to pay to win mechanics in a game. Pay to win games are a scam at best.

That I agree with. My wife is addicted to them too though she doesn't spend that kind of money thankfully. She's more addicted to Amazon shopping which is way more expensive.

I hate those kinds of games and avoid them myself. As I said, you have every right to be upset but it should be a conversation you have as to why she's doing it and how you can help her break the habit because locking it down is just going to work for that game. When the next one comes along you're just going to go through it again.
