Both sides are led by homicidal fuckwits and it's the ordinary people of both Israel and Gaza that pay the price - as with most wars of the last four or five millennia.
Hamas's charter and it's history as a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood that allied with the Nazis in the Second World War make their cry of "Israeli genocide" a bit hollow, given their part in the extermination of over six million Jews during the Holocaust, but since the Israeli army could easily wipe out every Palestinian in under a week if it chose to the case for genocide the morons of the ANC tried to prove (while simultaneously doing nothing about the call for the slaughter of European farmers in South Africa by black tribal Africans who reached that part of the continent after the Dutch) is frankly pathetic. Palestinian Arabs in Israel serve in all aspects of the Israeli population in Israel. The problem is the minority in Gaza itself.
And a minority in the IDF.
Unfortunately, the minority are giving the orders and for reasons unknown, but propaganda seems likely, the orders on both sides are being followed.
The fastest way to end it would be the elimination of everyone giving the orders from safe places away from the death they create.00 Reply

I've read volumes on the history of Zionism and the state of Israel. There is too way, way too much for me to begin to explain.
This latest savage attack on Gaza is just a continuation of what Israel has been doing for over 75 years. It didn't start with Hamas, which only came into existence with Israel's assistance in 2000.
It isn't about Israel "defending" itself. It's about the remaining Palestinians defending themselves.
I look to the day when Israel like Nazi Germany and the USSR, ceases to exist. Such evil cannot continue forever.
143 of the 195 countries in the world now support Palestine. If not for the corrupt U. S. government, Israel would be friendless and there would be Nuremberg trials against many Israelis for genocide and crimes against humanity.51 Reply
11.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Used to be neutral, but now I hope Israel grows a backbone and kills everyone.
Hamas attacked Israel first, killing over 1,200 people in a day, almost all being civilians.
Hamas raped and murdered or kidnapped hundreds of women and girls. Some are still held captive and likely subjected to repeated rapes or mutilation like some known victims already found.
Hamas hides their operatives among crowds and in homes, knowing they'll get hit and civilians will too.
The son of a hamas leader even said there are no real differences between Palestinians and hamas.
Plus to end my mini rant, Palestine has NEVER existed as a nation, ever. Where their claimed land sits, isn't there's. But Israel has always belonged to the jews, it is their ancestral homeland.10 Reply
+1 yPalestine. Israel seems to have a compulsion towards committing atrocities towards them. I thought us Jewish people didn’t like the holocaust. We should probably stop doing holocaust adjacent things

3.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Neither as, from an American perspective, it should properly be viewed as a strategic calculation, not a moral decision. That said, there are serious moral issues at stake, and it has been an accepted principle of international affairs - at least since the end of World War I if not before - that national self-determination is the right of a people. It's partly the reason why the victorious Allies broke up the Austro-Hungarian Empire and it is why imperialism is in such bad repute today.
International affairs are about power, not principle - except insofar as sovereign powers have the ability to assert their moral principles. In the Palestinian-Israeli case, there are conflicting nationalisms, though in the Palestinian case, the sense of national identity is somewhat weak - with Palestine divided between Palestinian nationalist, Islamist and (to some degree) pan-Arab identities.
These splits within the Palestinian community have significantly weakened the Palestinian cause, with about the only thing holding the Palestinian factions together is their ardent right to return to what they consider historic Palestine. In that connection, it should not be forgotten that the United Nations Organization divided the territory in a two state solution and it was the Palestinian Arabs, not the Israeli Jews, who rejected that compromise solution.
As to the situation now, the Palestinian cause is largely over - the media images notwithstanding. The decision by the Palestinians to support Saddam Hussein's Iraq against Kuwait in the 1990-1991 Persian Gulf War effectively ended Arab support for the Palestinian cause in fact if not in name.
Throw in the rivalry between Persian-Shiite-republican Iran and the Arab-Sunni-monarchies (as well as Egypt.) You now have a de facto alliance between Israel and the Arabs, effectively shutting out the Palestinians (who are increasingly looking to Iran.)
From the American viewpoint, that Arab-Israeli alliance is useful for hemming in not just Iran, which is small beer, but Russia - which in geostrategic terms matters more. In that connection, then, support for Israel makes sense.
The Palestine issue for the U. S. is secondary and if - as they recently states - the Palestinians do not see the U. S. as a mediator, then that is their affair and the status quo will suffice. Palestinian options are few.

1 yIsrael.
The Jews inhabited the area named "Palestine" (it was NEVER a country just an area in a mostly empty dessert) for thousands of years before Islam even existed. IT IS THEIR LAND!!! GET THE HELL OUT AND STOP THE ISLAMIC GENOCIDE AGAINST JEWS!
The Jews were murdered and driven out of every Muslim country they lived since antiquity in in the Middle East by Muslims.
Islam is the most violent barbaric, imperialistic religion in history and has been the source of most of the world's violence and wars since it was created.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Fuck these "Palestinians." Let one of the Muslim countries that has hundreds of times the land area that tiny Israel has take them in or STFU!
Israel isn't going ANYWHERE. GET USED TO IT !!!

+1 yIsrael more, but neither.
I also don't fully understand the middle history of this mess... and Israel started it at the beginning.
Trouble is... where would they go... they aren't gonna leave and take their nukes with them. They are very effective society... Palestine... whatever that is, is not and wastes all its money trying to kill Jews. So I support both stopping, healing their wounds, and getting along.
The other option is to totally break them up so nobody gets that land and move them to different halves of the planet. Totally obliterate Israel so noone in 1000 years can live there. That is how my parents solved problems with their kids. Can't get along with a toy, it gets destroyed and can't use it anymore.

+1 yIsrael has been involved in 13 wars. They have started 1 of them the 6 days war and they did that as a result of Egypt saying "we are amassing an arsenal to destroy israel" so Israel did a preemptive strike and destroyed the entire Israel military in under 24 hours and then left. In addition Israel has no issues with Arabs living in Israel they never have they welcome them. They just want to flourish and prosper as a country. Palestine on the other hand formed with the sole intent to kill ALL jews and destroy Israel. They have not given up that mentality in over 60 years. As a result factually there is only 1 side to support and that is Israel. Supporting Palestine is supporting the genocide of all jews. Not to mention Palestine kills all lgbt people. Women have little to know rights. One needs to be a special level of stupid to support a nation that hates America nearly as much as it hates jews and israel

Who was it said something like "Christians say why don't the Muslims and Jews get together and talk it out like good Christians?"?
What they didn't get is that they should have replaced "Christians" in that line with "people".

+1 yWell for starters, neither side is "right"
Both sides have done messed up things
That said, Hamas is the one literally baking infants alive and has sworn to commit genocide against Jews and Americans.
Oh also, Isreal tried repeatedly to "free" Palestine and make them an independent nation, and the Palestinians refused. That's just a historical fact, look it up if you don't believe me.
So with all of that said, I prefer Isreal over Palestine.00 Reply
1 yNeither, They both want to destroy western countries. It's not surprising that when Jews were doing everything they could to hurt White people and their countries we were never allowed to even criticize them. But Now that they are hurting Brown Muslims They can be called out for there evil all of a sudden.
