Does anyone else find it sad how few WWII veterans are left and how old they all are now?

Basically all these guys are in wheelchairs. I just think it's so sad every day there are fewer and fewer of them left. They don't make men like that.. replaced by these dumb kids who make videos on a CCP spy app. I wish I could stop them from dying. :(

That's just how it works. Older generations offer reality up to younger generations for them to take and pass along to the next generations when they become old, and so on. Indeed probably 90% of our worlds problems is by old people who refuse to cough up their control over the future. They want it to be an option and it's simply not. Working with that reality instead of trying to work around it is the only way anything works.

With luck, we'll eventually start seeing World War 2 the same way we see World War 1- with a little more luck, we'll finally be brave enough to not have World War 3.

Unfortunately, they DO still make men (and women) like that, who think that forcing slaves to kill other slaves is heroic. Who praise their deeds to the sky and leave them to suffer PTSD-ridden homelessness. Who hand out white feathers to men who value their own lives more than government propaganda.

Dude, it was 80 years ago. If they’re still alive now, do you realize how old they would have been during the war? These vets were teenagers. They got out because they were lucky and likely their seniors helping them. Honestly I think it’s more sad a bunch of kids were made to participate in that war, willingly or not.
