Anyone else feel bad for our veterans?

They fought to keep this a free country, and it's like every year more and more laws go into effect and our freedom that they fought for is slowly taken away. Doesn't matter what the people vote for, the government does what it wants anyways.

About ''free'' - you think that being dependent and flooded by cheap Chinese goods, better European or Japanese cars and motorcycles and such is ''freedom''?

I do feel bad about 'veterans' - for having been fooled by their own government (s) when they were young and innocent.

You have to see the big picture. Have to keep things under control outside of this country to prevent them from coming here and causing issues.

Among civilized global people then: can you imagine that when your 'veterans' were sent to other countries, they as well could have been perceived as ''coming there and causing issues''?
And... those who do cause issues presently in the U. S. - aren't they rather coming from within the country mostly, and already are there and have been there?

I worked with a former Marine who did six (6!) tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He seemed pretty normal (amazingly), but he shared some of the VA bullshit he has had to deal with... it's a shame how our veterans are treated when they come back.

Yes, I was in Air Force ROTC but I was dropped from the program because I could not pass the eye test. I was glad that none of my kids expressed any interest in joining the military. Lots of these kids come back in body bags or with their legs blown off and after that the government does not want to know them.

Yes, for a long time, just look at the health care there are given at the VA for the last 50 years.
