My opinion, if the African American was a reformed felon who was abused by cops, r*ped also witnessed awful conditions of those incarcerated and promised police reform, end to mandatory minimum sentences, drug reform also crime reform then maybe Americans (including white folk such as myself) would cast a ballot for them.

Now, bigger question: Would white folk vote for a black felon found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records for a reimbursement from the bank for a payment to a p*rnstar to hide an affair from way back when while attempting to run for public office in the past? Maybe not, most definitely not. ESPECIALLY IF they stormed the US Capitol Building to stage a coup also finding a total of 300+ documents in their possession. Now let’s say that Black Felon was a Democrat, most definitely not. No one would vote for them unless they were lobotomized or they sold their soul to them (MAGA Cultists won’t admit, especially since I’m a former Trump supporter)

Whether that could happen would depend on the strength of the candidate, his appeal to voters, and whether the felony was a conviction for a crime truly  malum in se  or whether it was just the result of a political witch hunt.
