Why can’t we just drive over protestors?

I’m glad I don’t live where people do this or I think someone will be getting some broken bones. Either from my car or me getting out and losing it. More often than not the protests are dumb as anything and the people have bricks for brains.

Surely if one was laying in the road and you happened to drive over their arm or leg, you’d not get in trouble? I mean they’re in the middle of the road.

It should absolutely be legal to forcibly remove protesters who are blocking your path or otherwise tampering with your daily tasks. There's even been cases where ambulances carrying emergency cases have been obstructed, or people late for work etc. I don't even care if it's not, if I'm on my way to work and those bosos are blocking me, they're up for a thrashing.

If they choose to lay in the road where uncoming traffic is frequent it's on them. Drivers aren't punished in cases where people off themselves like that, because they chose to be there, it ought to be the same with protesters. Not to say conciously kill them, but if they refuse to move, they're deluded to think they "have a right" not to be overrun on the freeway.

In Florida there were protesters shutting down one of the many causeways. This could be dangerous if there was an emergency and an ambulance or a fire engine could not get across. Gov. DeSantis gave an order declaring that anybody running over a protester will not be prosecuted. Notice you do not see protesters blocking roadways anymore.

One can only wish I don’t really want to harm anyone unless they harm me first but the entitlement to think blocking people from getting to work or maybe even a woman in labor trying to get to the hospital is disgusting to me.

One would think you learn at a young age not to play in the street because some people aren’t about to fuck around. If you want to protest that’s your right. It’s not your right to shut down traffic I seen a video of a police car running over peoples signs one time that was really funny to me. As well as a truck knocking a sign out of the way.

They aren’t worth going to jail over through but if they attack my car that’s another story.

It’s actually easy to solve this problem. Everyone carries bear spray. You don’t even have to get out of the car. It sprays thirty feet. At least you can be entertained by their writhing in pain while you wait for authorities to arrive.

I have a pretty good control over my temperament except when it comes to traffic. It’s literally my kryptonite. If I found out that they are the reason I’m in stop or go traffic I may lose it. Especially if I’m going somewhere important. I don’t mind protest at all but holding traffic is a horrible thing to do!

Not in that way, it’s not. It’s illegal to loiter in roadways in every state. Communities spend a great deal of money engineering pedestrian pathways to prevent holding up traffic like that. Not everyone can afford to be late to skool or work. People lose their jobs. Then there are medical concerns and flat-out emergencies. Those idiots don’t even give a shit about the cause. They just want attention. There are better ways to bring attention to the ISSUES. Especially if you want allies in the fight. Do you think the people whose days and lives they’re ruining are going to run out and join their club in support? Ell oh ell! Of course not. And they know that too. They’re just being derelicts for attention. They should be treated with so little respect.
