What should be done to protestors who block the road, and by extension costs someone their life?

This is a hypothetical. This could be that the protest blocked first responders and because of that people died, Or blocked an ambulance and the person inside died because they couldn't make it to the hospital. Or a mother lost the baby because yet again the ambulance was blocked from getting to the hospital.

Here is the rub. This kind of thing is actually illegal in my state. Its a felony to block roads of any kind for any reason without a permit, save for situations like a car accident or if first responders need to block it. I personally think if the above happened and people died as a result those that participated in the protest should be charged for 2nd degree murder or manslaughter at the least.

Protesting is more important than lives, who cares if it costs the lives of a few or a hundered people, i support criminals over law abidng people.

This has long been a big issue in London, UK. They started off sitting or even glueing themselves to major roads causing huge tail backs. New laws were rushed in but they got around them by walking at a snails pace. There's nothing drivers can do and the government is struggling to strike a balance between the right to protest and the right for everyone else to travel.

However one group called "just stop pissing everyone off" deals with them by encircling them to stop them going onto the road.

I think it was Ron DeSantis that suggested six months in jail. But I think that's way too light a sentence. Protest all day long, but don't infringe on the rights of others.

My cousin had to travel for work to Singapore. He said that when the plane gets close to landing, the flight attendants come around and collect your gum? Why? Because if a Singapore cop catches you spitting your gum out on the sidewalk, there's going to be a beat-down.

You can Google this, but a US senator once took his kid to Singapore. His kid thought he was invisible like Hunter, so he sprayed graffiti on buildings.

He was caught and sentenced to be "caned" in public. His dad tried to pull his weight as a US senator, and stop this. Nope. The folks in Singapore don't tolerate crime like Americans do.

Protesting is suppose be about getting your message out, when you actually use force upon other people your no longer speaking. Blocking is force not speech, indeed blocking someone's escape is even regarded as an attack.

You can hold a sign on the side of the road so long as you don't prevent people from walking past you.

when protesters were blocking bridges in Florida Gov. DeSantis said that if someone was to run somebody over they would not be charged with a crime. The protests stopped.

I saw this video on Jessie Waters. He had lawyer on, and the lawyer said that a regular cop would be in big trouble for doing this. Yes, the cop bashed through the obstruction, but did you notice that the obstruction hit a woman? And not only that, but the Jan 6 trespassers are still rotting in prison.
So with a corrupt justice department, they can do whatever they want.
