There are two hotels within walking distance to my house that the state took over to let illegal aliens stay there. There have been multiple armed robberies an some of the convenience stores and pizza joints in the area. There has also been a rape. The cops are there 24/7. The state is spending so much money to support all these freeloaders that there is no money left over to fund Capitol projects like bridges and schools. My town had a vote last month whether or not to raise taxes to cover the shortfall that the town did not get this year. It would have added 1300 dollars to my property taxes. Fortunately it was soundly defeated but there will be layoffs of town employees and most major purchases will be put on hold.

The problem with things like this is that you will not find many on the opposite side that even believe you (such as me) and because of that you just look like somewhat of an insane person yelling at clouds at times like these.

No it's not Venezuelans formed a new gang in New York, well the gang is from Venezuela but they formed in New territory which is in the US, it's just being informed, the gang is called Tren de Aragua, you can search it if you don't believe me, or keep living in denial, I know where I stand.

But that does not mean anything without context. Nothing prevented the Venezuelans from forming a gang previously and from my knowledge of how and why gangs forms it has more to do with people being prevented from integrating and as such a social issue rather than a border one. Like how the Irish used to form gangs back when they were discriminated against in USA but no longer do so.

They are immigrants that went through the open border, the border being closed wouldve been an effective way to deal with this, the open border was a wreckless move that allowed people into our country with no way to trace them, i assure you more issues will form from this but the damage is done.

Its the other way around. Closing the border does not mean that you prevent entry, that is virtually impossible. All it does is that you stop the official process which can be used to track and trace them later. Closing the border creates more of an underground community that is outside the law rather than impose control.

Irrelevant, or actually just proving my point further. Closing the border completely for all travel is easier than closing it for just immigration because you are providing illegal immigrants with another way to sneak in. More ways to sneak in = easier.

Point is that you can't stop it no matter how much you try. At best you can provide a system where you can re-establish some manner of control such as tracking them with state provided ID and having a record of who entered the country. That is why "open borders" gives you a means for control where as "closed borders" makes it uncontrollable.

Lets make a practical example. Lets say there is a Venezuelan man immigrating into USA to join the gang. If the border is closed then he will through various means sneak into the country and join the gang. At this point the government has no records of him and has no idea of who he is or where he is.

If we make a simple legal way for him to enter instead then he will simply choose to apply for that. At this point the government records that he enters the country along with provide him with an ID which he uses to do things like open bank accounts, sign up for cellphone services, rents and apartment and buys a car. With this extra information the government can more easily track him and expose his illegal dealings with the gang he joins as well as know who he is and where to capture him.

The ease in which to establish control over legally admitted people and people who illegally entered the country is night and day. You are just making things harder for yourself at this point.

There's many ways of getting an advantage, if they have thermal for example and you don't, it doesn't matter how well you know the woods because they can see your heat signature, this is of course just an example but you not believing they have the ability to get thermal is underestimating them so if they end up having it, it will catch you off guard, which thermal all it requires is money, there's no other requirements, my point is that understimating can be blinding.
