Almost every person running for an elected office catastrophizes about the near future to scare voters into voting for them. How long have Democrats warned that Republicans want to eliminate or reduce Social Security?
Their soon to be adopted platform from project 2025 soecifically states cuts to medicare, medicaid, ss and block grants to states. They are who they say they are.
@DrPepper12 Show me.
The Republican Study Committee's 2025 budget proposes significant cuts to Medicare and Social Security benefits:
Social Security Cuts
Raises the retirement age to 69 for those currently 59 or younger, forcing 257 million Americans to work longer for less
Cuts over $1.5 trillion from Social Security, including reducing disability benefits
Medicare Cuts
Repeals Medicare's ability to negotiate lower prescription drug prices, allowing pharmaceutical companies to raise prices unchecked
Eliminates the $35 cap on insulin costs and the $2,000 out-of-pocket spending limit from the Inflation Reduction Act
Transitions Medicare to a system that would increase premiums for many seniors
In contrast, President Biden's 2025 budget:
Extends the life of the Medicare Hospital Insurance Trust Fund indefinitely without any benefit cuts
Opposes any proposal to cut or privatize Social Security benefits
Proposes asking the highest-income Americans to pay their fair share to strengthen Social Security
The Republican plan cuts these vital programs to fund $5.5 trillion in new tax cuts, including repealing the corporate minimum tax and weakening IRS enforcement on wealthy tax evaders. President Biden aims to protect and strengthen Medicare and Social Security while making the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share.

While things are far better in states like Florida which maintains a high level of economic freedom, low taxation, and rule of law the overall economy is in an extremely bad place. It's funny that you commies push a narrative that Trump is lying about the economy when your Democrat run cities are the most negatively impacted. For example, taker a look at Los Angeles today...
https://www.youtube.com/embed/BZeidT2ZX9o100%. All he does is lie, every time he speaks. He's even resorted to taking credit for something from Biden's Inflation Reduction Act. He's got no grasp on reality of any kind.

Of course. All politicians do. That's what the job is about. Drawing support. Honest politicians have zero chance of winning. Maybe lower level elections. Ron Paul was an anomaly, as far as reaching the congress level, but also had next to zero chance at the presidency.
All politicians do is lie or dramatically stretch the truth in a totally misleading way to further their agenda. In America we are enveloped with the personal lives and characters of our politicians like some kind of reality TV. What matters is policy. Trump at least wants to be tougher on illegal immigration, that's worth voting for him to me.
Trump had the toughest immigration bill in history killed off by whining that he would have nothing to campaign on if it passed. He specifically doesn't want the US to be tougher on immigration of he can't have all the credit for it, which is a classic symptom of someone who is fully aware they have no value whatsoever..
@normalice Who do you suppose I should vote for if I don't want illegal immigration, then? Democrats are still on this "no human is illegal" crap...
Some democrats are. But nearly all of them concede that the backlog of our asylum courts is out of control, and that's where the bulk of the illegal immigration of the darker skinned variety occurs (which, let's be real, is the only thing of actual concern to both sides..).
But, it's hard to say. The media just isn't doing you any favors by burying the story that trump had the toughest immigration bill ever killed off because he wanted to campaign on it. If there was a huge outcry from the right over it, I would bet my entire estate that democrats would sieze the opportunity to make it central to their campaign message. And if they won back the house and kept the executive and senate on that message they would certianly deliver. Indeed, for the last 20 years democrats have been low key pushing for immigration reform but Republicans always thwart it. I used to not know why but now that trump openly said it's so he has something to campaign on its obvious that was the republican con all along. So, if you want to vote for someone who will fix the problem my advice is simply "not republican."
@normalice First of all, I'll have to disagree with the skin color of immigrants being the issue. I still don't want white Ukrainians, Georgians, or fair-skinned Chinese, which are some of the other common immigrants the US gets. I don't want people who have a different culture coming here and failing to integrate while getting handouts, simple as that.
I will say that I'm no Trump fanatic, and IIRC even Obama deported more illegals during his presidency. But I'm not really convinced the modern attitude of the Democrat party is quite as conservative as you seem to think. I mean, San Fransisco appointed a non-citizen with no legal voting rights--Kelly Wong--to their elections commission...
@normalice ^^^ THIS ^^^
Democrats supported and continue to suport the best bill in 40 years hecuz trump needed a fampaign issue. The GOP Sponsor has even disavowed his own bill. Tells you all you need about whos serious and whos cosplaying border security
Biden lies about how great everything is to get more votes. He is not fooling anyone. Can anybody really point to one thing Trump had lied about? The country is a total mess. Gas and food prices are through the roof. Over ten million illegal aliens have come across the southern border, many are criminals, drug smugglers and terrorists, America is being bled dry supporting them all. And we are involved in a was in Ukraine that we have no stake in.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 <<< BREATHE >>> 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
A better way to word your question is does every politician lie about everything to get votes.
Of course. There is no other way for republicans to win, in general, other than by either terrifying or enraging their voting base.
trump lies a lot but everyone can confirm for themself that the economy went to shit after him. which is probably due to the corona crysis, which he could have avoided...
to be honest i don't know what trump claimed so I don't know if he lied.
No.
His followers lie about reality. And he exploits the situation. There's nothing more to it.
nope but the fact checkers check the wrong sources.
Have you ever known a politician who tells the truth? Welcome to the realities of politics.
Are you effin serious? He doesn't know HOW to tell the truth, never did.
As a person who works a job, puts food on the table, pays bills and pumps gas in his car I don’t think he’s lying at all
Then you're living in the fact free reality of trumps creation.
@DrPepper12 are you telling me that if I put myself in denial and live "Bidenomics" instead that everything I pay for will become cheaper?
No. Not at all. 70% of inflation is corporate prifits, not a supply/demand imbalance. Its not gonna get cheaper, we need wage growth now and the best way to do that is collective bargaining.
@DrPepper12 or we can just simply elect Trump and he will do all the mess Biden did, as it couldnt be a coincidence that inflation and everything started rising months after Biden got in office
I wonder why ladies are prone to vote Democrat? Oh yeah. Nevermind
WTF does THAT mean?
That women are the smarter gender?
Trump lies about EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME 24/7
That about sums up politics.
Every politician lies
All politicians lie.
You spelled "BIDEN" wrong.
Joe lies about being alive.
