I don't get it. I get called names all the time but I don't care. I even like it people get worked up because of me. Some people get offended and get really sad when people on Internet are hateful to them. Are some people just sensitive?

It’s sensitivity, sure, but also just empathy and sympathy. I understand that with anonymity, as most do, we act without real consequences 99% of the time. No one cares and everyone is about as meaningful as a cereal commercial. But some people with capacities for these very human ways of connecting get upset to see people use anonymity as a means of gaining personal power. It speaks to a desire for control over others that one can not only not have, but also severely lacks in an environment where they find nothing but negativity. Very rarely do good people go out of their way to be assholes online. Nice people might, those who perform kindness only for perceived rewards, but not genuinely good people. It can be upsetting to realize the mindset you’ve carried when interacting with others is not the norm. Maybe you don’t remember it, or didn’t experience it at all, but realizing that a lot of people would be cruel and selfish if they could get away with it directly conflicts with the worldview many of us are taught as children and changes one’s perspective on humanity as a whole. It’s more or less another level to lost innocence that people experience. Personally, I think they’re valid in being upset over people being dicks for no reason other than just because they can.
they should be more rough masculines. but the reporting "tattle" on facebook motivated people to lie they are offennded... how can we check if they lied?
They’ve been insulted it’s the same thing in person they’re going to get angry
I think it's much different in person
It’s worse, but it still hurts online
Not for me
