Look, past generations have collectively fucked you. I apologize for my generation fucking you and am particularly pissed-off about that because we should have known better and done better. But, when Ronald Reagan became President, that fooled many in my generation to think the ways of the GOP were better when, in reality, the ways of the GOP were to exacerbate and NOT solve problems that should have been solved by the time you folks took over.

I could see the shitstorm coming which is __why__ I did not have kids. 40+ years ago, I knew the shit was going to hit the fan (like unbelievably high college tuition and incredible college debt) and I wanted to spare my kids that - so the only way I knew that I could do that was to not have them.

Your world is getting a bit worse because the necessary social solutions to the problems created by:

• human shortsightedness,
• inability to be sufficiently abstract,
• and technological change

is slower to evolve than the rate necessary to adapt to the rate of change of that technology.

The Boomers have a work ethic and morals that made the US a superpower. Can the next generation keep that up? I don’t know but I don’t think so. President Kennedy said ‘ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country’. I think the new generations think the opposite and that among all things must change.

If they change to what JFK was saying then the corrupt politicians in Washington will be wiped away and then it doesn’t matter so much which party is in power as they will all be doing what is right for the country.

Socialism won’t allow for superpower status and the benefits that come from that. We are not like Europe in that there will be massive corruption in medical and other government sponsored programs. That is a sure was to death.

Also note the communists in America, they will grow but notice they don’t work hard at all. They think that others will work for them which is foolish. Notice how communist countries really operate.

What the Boomers have truly failed at is allowing the Presidency and Congress become corrupt. But there were a lot of young votes that made that happen. You will need to reverse this which can be dome in one election cycle and then a purge of the corrupt.

If the wages are good enough to make a decent living off of, then no one would ever leave and there would be very little spots for new employees who need the experience.

my experience with boomers is not good. they expect you to be happy working for basically nothing. dave Ramsey, I think he's a boomer, recently said housing has always been expensive. we don't have it worse today. when in reality the average home cost is 8 times the annual household income and in 1980 it was merely 2.5 times more.

Now I make over 100k and my house is worth a million dollars. Everything else is mire than 20btimes whatvit was. My taxes are 30 times what it was. Everything is relative.
