Well... knowledge and money is power. It's definitely wrong to look down on others for their circumstances and money is material, but in a sense... they can't help it. They can afford a higher standard of living and provide for their loved ones. They can afford healthier foods, more vacations and luxury living. In many countries, they can afford better healthcare. It's hard not to have their ego inflated by having wealth.

It is a materialistic aspect of a person, but it usually (not always) correlates to their value to society. For example, if the world had to choose, would the world rather have a doctor (high income earner) or a guy that lives on the streets and is mentally unstable? The harsh reality is we all know the answer, although some may not want to admit it. There are differences in value humans have to society. And I'm speaking from the perspective of someone that's not even financially independent as of yet, so I'm being just as harsh on myself as anyone.

Again... not saying they're better people. Especially the ones that got lucky or inherited their wealth, but in that aspect of their lives, they are superior.

depends on how they got the wealth but obtaining wealth usually means there's talent, intelligence or some other personal gifts involved hence the superiority

e. g. pro-athletes are rich because they're genetically superior to most people

It's a form of confirmation bias. People with money are people who turned out to be right. Therefore, if I have more money, it must be because I'm doing something right.

Because it does. The more wealth you have the more secure you are therfore making you more desireable to women. Money is everything until you get married and make a family. Then family is everything.

Wealth is power, it's status, it's envious etc. It's quite obvious why someone would but deep down that alone will not make anyone happy or satisfied
