Being thrown feet first into a wood-chipper, OR being thrown head first into a wood chipper! Which is worse? That’s an apt analogue to your question. They are equally terrible. One may be able find some semantic point upon which to hang an argument, but in the end, they are both equally dead! Just as the historical religious wars you are asking about were horrible when they were happening. In my analogue, the question depends on whether you’re the person or the wood chipper, yours depends on whether you were the religious army of the millions of innocents who needlessly died (2 - 6 million died from the crusades in western Europe alone!)

I hope I helped illustrate the futility of attempting a comparative analysis of the subjective feelings of those who died during the holy wars.

You seem to ignore the points made in the video. How can they be morally equal if one was part of a massive unprovoked attack on the entire known world with the intent of pillaging and conquering it, and the other was a comparatively minimal counter attack for defensive purposes?

MY point was; To the innocents caught in the middle, whether they were christian farmers minding their own business, when a hoard of barbarians descended on their village, Or muslim goat herders minding THEIR own business, just trying to feed and defend. their family, a sword through the neck, is a sword through the neck. You seem to think I concern my self with the motivation of the fighting forces in a religious war… I do not, I concern myself with the people who could not care less, they just want to wake up, work, feed their family, and go to bed with a feeling of relative safety! REGARDLESS of what religion they practiced, and woke up to the sounds of their family being slaughtered! I honestly could not care whether the aggressors wore crosses or crescents!
