Why is it so hard to accept that people can change?

A lot of people change, but a lot of people dont... and when you experience being a friend, spouse, or family member to someone who just won't change... it changes your expectations of others too sometimes.

People don't change at their core. They learn to hide the traits that people don't like.

The only time they can change is through traumatic experiences.
