Would you be in favor of changes to divorce law?

Get rid of alimony. In TODAY’S world, a woman, who can make the decision of divorce and can find employment, shouldn’t take such a large portion of someone else’s money just to live the “standard-of-life” they used to before. THEY WANTED THE DIVORCE, SO THEY SHOULD BE OKAY THAT THEY WON’T BE ABLE TOO RECEIVE THE SAME PERKS THEY DID WHEN THEY WERE MARRIED. With that being said, I believe regardless of whoever has custody, both parents have the equal responsibility in paying child support. The cold shouldn’t be punished for a decision made for other people

There’s also this dumb thing the husband has to do, which is pay the judge, the wife’s lawyers, and other court factors while battling child custody. This is another thing that makes family court ruthless. It can financially cripple a man to the extent that if they can’t afford it, the kids think their father doesn’t care to fight for them. That practice needs to be overthrown

Lastly, courts need to have a sexless view in these matters. Yes, history may recall that a lot of guys are pieces of shit, but there are a lot of women in today’s world who are too. The court’s need to recognize that while parents have different things to offer, the things that mother offers aren’t superior to the father.

Yeah. More say from the kids, more research into equitably. Better evaluation of assets.
