My ex girlfriend hates her because she thinks Taylor Swift is not a real feminist. I think feminism is whatever benefits the woman who's trying to use it the most. If all these other women were billionaires they'd be feminist in the same way that Taylor Swift is.

I don't hate her or love her. I think she's just very popular right now so people can't help but get emotional about something that has to do with her but there's nothing there to be upset about. She's just a celebrity who tries to maximize her appeal and make the most money that she can and that's all there is to her. There's nothing deep or controversial there.

Hate her? Nope , could never hate anyone that is never actually spent a considerable amount of time with. Certainly couldn’t hate someone if never actually met , that seems extremely narrow minded and very judgmental to say the least. To answer the question though , there really are some creatures on this planet that seem to “hate” indiscriminately , they why? Well pick any number of reasons , she is wealthy? , successful? Attractive? Opinionated? I say good luck to her and wish her every success

If you're famous and somewhat good looking, people are going to be jealous of you. But another reason outside of jealousy is her music seems negative and degrading to both genders. I am not saying it necessarily negative but it could be perceived as negative. I do not listen to her music because it sounds like curses, and attracts bad luck. I had more than one source say you absorb the lyrics you choose to embrace and if you absorb bad lyrics, bad things will happen to you. I really only listen to Jewish music and even though, I don't consider all Jewish music to be lyrically positive.

Overexposure, mostly, plus people just seem to like to hate things that are very popular. And lately, due to her expressing some sort of left-leaning political opinion over a previous election in Tennessee where she lives, the right wing has decided she’s a threat because they fear the influence a political endorsement from her might carry with her legions of fans.

The funniest part to me is that like 15 years ago Kanye jumped on stage at an awards show and basically said Beyoncé deserved the award, not her, and the right wingers were like “hOw DaRe ThIs bLaCk ThUg RaPpEr Do ThIs To tHiS yOuNg wHiTe CoUnTrY sInGeR?”, and all it takes is a meeting with Donald Trump (when Kanye is at PEAK crazy), and they completely flip-flop, and now Taylor must be stopped, Trump ‘24, and Kanye ‘28!”🤦‍♂️😂

Some because she's a billionaire. And people don't think billionaires should exist and it's greed.

Some because she's a popular woman billionaire instead of elon musk or bezos which some find acceptable because they're men.

Some, because the nfl focused some attention on her and the hardcore football fans got their underwear ruffled.

Some because their political party told them to and they listened like good boys and girls and did what they were told.

Some because they just don't like anything that's popular and talked about.

Most hate her because they make themselves hate someone who has zero impact on their lives. You can not like her music and just not listen to it. Hating her is extreme and shows you're allowing yourself to be wrapped up in it. I'm not even a Taylor fan at all but she doesn't have influence over my mood or feelings on her. I don't think about her.

I don't hate anybody. The reason why I'm not impressed by her:

1.) I grew up in a time when artists were much more talented and did all live performances with no lip syncing, auto tune or other tricks. They also started performing when they were barely old enough to walk and grinded day in and day out in clubs and random bars for decades before they became famous. Even the performers at my local church were like that. Top notched performances on Sunday & they were practicing in the clubs all week long. Now the music industry is largely a joke.

2.) She's known for writing whiny stuff about exes. I don't respect that.

I don't "hate" Taylor Swift; she just appeals to younger crowds and her music is not what I prefer to listen to. However, now that I've seen her political stances, she's a favorite artist/person of mine. As far as stardom goes, I'm glad she has made it. Not my particular style but she's a good human if her political views are what she says they are.

Everyone liked a few songs from Taylor Swift's [albums] since 1989, and everyone is still getting bombarded [with them] since then.

Modern-day Nickelback. They have some decent stuff for everyone, but enough is enough.

It's in a weird spot of being universally popular but not a timeless classic. It's over-promoted but not timeless.

All her songs now sound the same and she's basically sells her music from PR relationships but if anyone calls her out on it she takes it personally it's like she's 30 something and still singing about boys breaking her heart.
