According to the Lancaster Farming Newspaper. The Food and Drug Administration has given a favorable regulatory review of the drug Bovaer for use in the feed of lactating cows. Generically called 3-NOP. This drug suppresses the enzyme in the cows rumen that forms methane. 1 tablespoon per day will reduce methane emissions by 30%, or about 1.2 metric tons annually!
