No they’re more humble than that

If only we are the greatest, richest, most advanced civilization to ever exist. Ow wait we are.
The problem is we think of government as a business when it shouldn't. That's the whole reganomics bullshit. We walked on the moon, we drove on Mars, we sent satellite to pluto and now explore beyond.
We could do just about anything and yet we actively sabotage future generations. THAT'S FUCKING STUPID. but because we are the greatest, richest, most advanced civilization to ever exist is also the reason we can even destroy a planet to begin with.
You know India and China contribute a shit ton of pollution to the world. I think that’s the scientific term for it. What about Mongolia? Are you aware of the pollution problem there? They have young people with emphysema for fuck’s sake.
And AMERICA is supposed to “fix” the world’s pollution and climate change issues?
THEY need to pull THEIR weight and shape the fuck up. But they won’t.
We don't have to use force just lead by example.
That's another thing china has always taken our lead as an example. We've subjugate the south America for wealth for centurie. China did the same but inside its own country.
If the usa was a better country in the image we say we are tge world would follow suit. Because we are that awesome.
If we choose to be awful the world will be awful. That's the responsibility of being a global power.
These people really think that driving electric cars will have an effect on the weather. If you say it out loud it really is absurd.

Dude, you and this energy thing.
Why not try educating yourself? Again, I build green data centers. Why do you think a company should waste money building a data center that doesn't save energy?
What happened to your brain?
I mean this is basic common sense.
Dude, you got problems.
In your world, being energy conscious. . . I mean literally doing what you can to save cash on energy makes you into a freak who thinks he can control the weather.
I am not a climatologist. I leave science to the guys who went to school to get the degrees in science.
I am a technologist. And I will you again for the eleventh time. Building green data centers has nothing to do with your obsession with liberal thought.
It is sound business practice.
So you crazy.
You were literally forced to buy an electric car?
Dude, get some medication.
So you are actually saying the California forces you to buy an electric car. You can't buy a ford or gm. You can't buy used or refurbished. You must buy an electric.
Like I said.
You crazy.
@RolandCuthbert I agree with you. Creating energy saving data centers is good business sense just as buying a high efficiency boiler or triple pane windows. Converting our power grid to run on wind mills will double or triple the cost of electricity while failing to deliver reliable service. It is a losing proposition that will do nothing to change the weather.
@exitseven You mean like the "reliable" service Texas has?
Amazon runs their data centers on wind farms. In Indiana, we have tens of thousands strung along I-65.
upload.wikimedia.org/.../...m_%282%29_2-3_2010.jpg
I have been to so many Amazon demonstrations where they show proof of concept of how to build a data center that will not fail.
You do know, that Amazon was the first major cloud provider, right? This infrastructure they built, they built to stay up 24/7, 365. Then Bezos got the bright idea to rent this infrastructure other companies. Since, so much of it went unused because of redundancy.
aws.amazon.com/.../
How many times has Amazon proven to be "unreliable"?
@Pterodon I had to go look up the issue because you were never going to tell me. By 2035, emissions free vehicles will be mandatory. So you lied when you said you couldn't go out and buy a gas powered car. Dude, by the time gas will be banned, you will be 73 years old. That's 13 years from now.
So I wouldn't worry about it.
Well, there you actually said something that made sense.
You are right. They need to find more sources of energy. That's on Cali.
But Texas has worse problems. And they drive gas guzzlers all day long.
@exitseven?
I don't think you get the history. Early on back in the 2000s. Of course Amazon had an outage.
And they had no backup power except the grid.
They will never be caught dead in the water again because the grid fails. They will always have their own backup power out of band via solar/wind.
I didn't do research on this sir.
I lived this. My career is all about the data center, either on premise or in the cloud.
AWS Service Event in the Sydney Region (ap-southeast-2)
The service disruption primarily affected EC2 instances and their associated Amazon EBS volumes running in a single Availability Zone. Root cause? Loss of Power. Sounds typical? Maybe, but it was related to a loss of power at a regional substation due to severe weather in the area. In one of the facilities, AWS power redundancy didn't work as designed, and they have lost power to a significant number of instances in that Availability Zone. After some years, James Hamilton, during AWS re:Invent, will refer to that situation as a trigger to design novel and more robust power redundancy mechanisms in AWS data centers.
It's not a matter of belief, it's scientific fact.
Climate change is a fact. The ice used to extend as far as south Texas. It retreated and left a shallow inland sea that eventually dried up and is today called the Great Plains. The ice retreated further and carved the Great Lakes. The ice is still retreating just like it has since before we were ever here. Now I’m going to ask you again. Do you really think you can stop it? Yes or no
I know the rate because I have looked at graphs. Wrong on COVID-19 how? You guys first used the pandemic to be xenophobic to Asians, then you pivoted to throwing tantrums over having to care about other people and not just yourself, then you demonized health workers working gruelling, traumatizing shifts trying to save all the people dying, then you started lying about the vaccines, causing even more deaths among the unvaccinated, and now I'm guessing you're gloating because the people studying it didn't know everything from the start and proceeded according to a principle of harm reduction rather than just throwing caution to the wind when dealing with a novel virus that was killing thousands of Americans a day and wreaking havoc all over the globe.
Changing the weather is just a flimsy excuse to rape the grownups qho work for a living a little harder.
The pee-on li s think they can. The leadership that continue to buy $10 Million mansions on The coast just use it for power.
The climate has been already changed.
We got 3 points, which back up the theory we are currently dealing with climate change, and are also responsible for it.
First we got temperatures rising globally, and thats noticeable over the usual timespan of 30 years scientists use to judge climate. So its not one hot summer, its 30 warmer years compared to the previous 30 years.
Second we got a rise in CO2 and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which explaines the rising temperatures.
These two points are proving we got a change in the global climate and its caused by the greenhouse gases. But you are right this could also be happening without any human contribution.
Now the third point is interessting and it strongly hints towards humans being a huge if not the only factor.
If you look at the CO2 in the atmosphere you got 2 Isotopes of Carbon, one is slightly radioactive and its the one which all living things breath out now and in the past.
The other one is set free when burning fossil fuels, and its only this one which has been in higher concentration.
So "Natural" CO2 levels stayed the same, its only the "man-made" CO2 levels which has risen.
Thats why we are talking about a man made climate change and we are also capable of doing something against it.
